I think it would be lovely to have a whole-house water filtration system. We just filter our drinking water with a Brita right now. I also love IKEA, for all the reasons you listed. They are generally ahead of the environmental curve, esp. compared to other low-price (read: Walmart, Target) stores.

Great article! I am with you-why don’t paint companies switch over to only no VOC paints? we don’t have a whole house water filtration system-we have a RO system in the kitchen and all the shower heads have filters. When the kids take a bath we use the shower to fill the tub-otherwise we get the colored water like you. Curious to hear about the whole house system-keep us posted!!
