Take Action Tuesday - Climate Security Act

by Tela on June 3, 2008

This came to me in an email from the National Wildlife Federation:

Dear Friend of Wildlife,

I’m writing to you today to ask for just a minute of your time–a minute that could make all the difference in the world we leave our children. This coming Monday, June 2, the U.S. Senate starts debate on the Climate Security Act, one of the most important bills ever to be introduced in Congress.

Please edit and send an email to your senators, asking them to pass the Climate Security Act.

The Climate Security Act will boldly change our energy economy and put America back on the path to progress. Investing in clean energy alternatives can recharge America’s economy and lay the foundation for a stronger economic future. It will create jobs here at home, save families and businesses money, and make America more energy independent.

Asking your senators to pass the Climate Security Act is the action you can take to make an impact in the fight against global warming, the biggest threat wildlife will face this century.

As a member of the National Wildlife Federation’s Green Hour community, I know that you care deeply–as I do–about the world we leave our children. This legislation is important not only for America, but for the world. Not only for people, but for the natural resources in our care.

Sincerely,

Kevin Coyle
Vice President of Education
National Wildlife Federation
