Caffeine in Pregnancy Increases Risk of Miscarriage

by Tela on January 22, 2008

A new study out Monday has found that consuming as little as 200mg (2 cups of coffee or 5 caffeinated sodas) can double your risk of miscarriage in early pregnancy. It’s best to avoid caffeine all together but if you absolutely need it, limit your intake to 100mg (1 cup of coffee) per day. You can also try other natural energy boosters, such as exercise or healthy snacks. Read more about the study at Science Daily.
