Vitamins and Supplements for the Family

I’ve been ordering supplements for our family and thought I’d share. I researched to find out which brands came recommended by resources that I trust. Basically we all take a multi-vitamin and DHA/EPA (Omega 3 fish oils for mental acuity & mood). My husband and I both also take a probiotic for digestive health. A list of what I buy regularly follows. You can now purchase all of these from Amazon by clicking the links below or via the Babyminding Boutique! (under Shop! Eating)

For Britton (2 1/2 yrs old):

NutriStars - Kid’s Multivitamin (she loves these and reminds me every morning to give one to her! so, they apparently taste great but have no refined sugar.)

Carlson Laboratories - Kid’s Chewable Dha, 60 chews(this one says it’s for children 4 and up, but I think that’s because it’s a soft gel and some young children can choke. Britton is a very cautious chewer so she handles them well.)

For Joshua (husband)

Just Once Men’s One Multi

Carlson Laboratories - Super Omega-3 Fish Oils, 1000 mg, 250 softgels (this brand came recommended by the Mercola website and is purified fish oil - no mercury)

Garden of Life - Primal Defense, 90 caplets(another brand recommended by the Mercola website)

For Tela (post-natal & breastfeeding)

Pregnancy Plus Prenatal Vitamin - Free Shipping ( I love these prenatal vitamins…they’re easy to swallow, gentle on the tummy and have no artificial dyes, colors, flavors or preservatives)

Carlson Laboratories - Super-Dha, 500 mg, 180 softgels (gives me 500 mg of DHA & 100 mg of EPA, which my Pediatrician recommended while breastfeeding to have more DHA than EPA…purified, no mercury)

Garden of Life - Primal Defense, 90 caplets(another brand recommended by the Mercola website)

Hey T,

Do you know of any good powder or liquid vitamins for Nathan? He’s still battling the disphagia so I am looking for alternatives to the gummy like vitamins or chewables. There were a bunch at Nutrition World but I didn’t know which one was actually best. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!!
